Layan is a 15 year old girl living in Gaza with her family. We met when Layan messaged me on Instagram, and we now speak every day, and manage to have a laugh despite enduring/witnessing the violence inflicted on Palestine.
Together, we’re finding different ways to raise funds for her and her family, so they can access food, shelter and education. Below you can find several creations by Layan: a zine, tattoo designs, and a gallery showcasing her photography

GALLERYLayan loves photography, and I wanted to offer her a platform to share her art and show her daily life.
As the world watches Gaza, it is primarily depicted from outside, with images selected and shown by Western media outlets. This, to me, is what highlights the importance of giving power to Palestinians to represent themselves, to capture and share their life as they choose. Providing this gallery for Layan’s is my effort to do so.
